Level rumor?

This has been circulating around causing some concern so I figured i'd throw it out into the open for comment so the record can be set straight.

Is it true that a group of players (non staff) that were involved in testing on the development server were rewarded by starting at level 15 instead of level 5?

I'll tell you what, from what _I_ know that's absolutely false.

And from the +checks I've seen, no one has even close to 15 levels.

You realize that some of the NPCs (even the Jedi characters) are only level 10-15. The big bosses, obviously, are 20+ but that's because we didn't want the PCs offing them right away.

I really want to know why such a rumor started, and WHO came up with it. Because I'll tell you, I wouldn't staff on this game if that happened. I'm serious.

We are a new leaf, and we are NOT rewarding XP for OOC stuff.

No. We already saw how rewarding XP for -building- went for DH1. As Firehawk said, we're not rewarding XP for OOC help.
