| "Concentrate. Eyes closed, padawan. Feel the blood flow through him, each beat of his heart sending the essence of the Force through every capillary. Find the irregularities, where the Force is uneven, broken, and pull. The blood flow will match yours, your hearts will beat as one. One, two, three, steady now, and draw those irregularities away from him, into you, slowly. Don't forget to breathe, little one, the pain will pass." -- Early Empire-era Jedi Healer Liam L'hnnar There are mysteries of the Force that skirt the fine line between Light and Dark Side. Jedi scholars brave the unknown to master such arts, some at great cost to themselves. A delicate art, Force Healing demands a great deal of focus and strength from its practitioners. A fundamental knowledge of medicine is required to make the most of it, and, perhaps more importantly, a strong constitution. While modern medicine is the preferred for most injuries, in times of emergency, a Jedi can draw on the power of the Force to heal the wounds of another, transferring the injury onto her own person. If unskilled, such treatment may be lethal to both patient and Jedi. Mechanics: - Masters of their own bodies, Jedi Healers recover from injuries substantially faster than the average sentient of their species.
- Jedi Healers are superior physicians, more effective than those uninitiated in the arts of Jedi Healing.
- A Jedi Healer may use +forceheal on an injured target within reach. The process requires intense concentration, leaving the Jedi fundamentally defenseless, as she transfers the target's wounds to herself, one at a time, starting with the most serious. Their patients often tell tales of how revitalized they felt after the process, as though the Force had breathed new life into them.
