This is sort of off topic and not related to discussing systems on the new MU..

But have there been any significant changes in weaponry in the timejump that occurs between DH1 and DH2? Or are we still talking blasters, force pikes, turbolasers and concussion missiles?

Read some of Gulp's posts on ground combat and space combat. There have been a lot of changes to available weaponry.

Yeah, I read all of the posts in this area of the forum.

I saw things like ammo being added, using barstools, melee weapons with knockdown, improved stuns, ETC.

My question is more about the star wars theme in general from that timeperiod, I suppose.

Gulp has a few posts that already address ship weaponry. Check the code section of the Forums

Ground weapons? Blasters and projectile weapons and your basic assortment of melee weapons will be available. I don't know if Force Pikes will make a comeback in this time period.

In the past 200 years, cheaper weapon solutions have staged a comeback and even become dominant. Expect to see slug weaponry and railguns; expect to see single-shot hard-hitting "blaster muskets"; expect to see "pulse blasters" that consume blaster ammunition cells; expect to see a fair amount of melee weaponry wherever people can get away with it.

In the tight confines of a starship boarding operation, where hull breach is an annoying thing to have happen, the average distance between you and your opponent is going to be 5 meters or so, quickly closing to point blank range if you charge. Melee time.

A lot of this is covered in the Code subforum (the section on starship weaponry explains the thematic reasons for the emergence of new weapon systems). Quick summary: there will be major differences, most of which involve more limited weaponry, making superb, very powerful weapons fairly rare and/or expensive to operate.
